Hi Chris,

I have never driven during a thunderstorm, mainly because they usually happen 
late afternoon or evening and I'm always parked by them.

I have been in plenty of them in the trailer though. The thing I'm always 
careful to do is drop one side of the awning down, if it's open, to let the water 
run off. You donlt want it sitting with water collecting in it.

I try to park in the open, but because I want my satellite dish to work.

I was in tornado warnings once and in those times i leave the trailer hooked 
up to the truck, I feel the truck helps hold it. It was rocking alot but we 
survived, the tornado didn't hit close enough.

Another time a tornado put a huge live oak tree down where the trailer lives 
on the farm, but I had pulled it to Walt's a few days earlier to be reskinned 
after a hail storm. We would have all been dead if I hadn't pulled it to 
Walt's.

Hail is an issue, but if you are in the midwest you takes your chances.
