[A/S] weather advice?

Last night we had a very strong line of thunderstorms come through. It 
got me to thinking about being in or pulling our Airstream when severe 
weather hits. We are experienced tent campers, but this is our first 
trailer. I think it would be beneficial for the newbies on the list 
(including myself) to hear from those experienced with such conditions. 
When do you pull off the road? Do you select sites with severe weather 
in mind (looking overhead for tree limbs, power lines, etc)? Any 
particularly hard learned lessons?
