         Well, Richard, there have been a number of posts about cracked 
receivers, including one of mine about the DOT inspections at the 2000 
Sarasota rally.  They found several percent of the receivers - mostly GM 
and mostly Reese hitches - cracked.  I would not be surprised to learn that 
the Hensley might be a bit harder on the receiver than the Reese, but that 
doesn't explain the DOT results, and the long history of cracked GM 
receivers.  Hensley hitches are a very small fraction of the hitches out 
there; it is certainly not true that "all others that have responded also 
have used a Hensley hitch."
