Close the breather on the tank cap. They seal very well. I put my 
1000 in a heavy duty garbage bag to keep the gas smell contained. 
They make easy targets so chain the bugger down.

Can't hurt. Periodic oil changing of any quality oil will keep it 
running a long time.

Nah, regular.

Does it matter?  Should I use stabil?

Everyone says to. I plan to. Haven't in 3 years and it starts up 
first time every time. So probably won't
