Our '88 is a twin bed 29' and that is the one we converted to a queen
bed. I don't believe there were any queen bed models that year, and
if so I haven't seen one.

The nice thing about the Airstream trailers (it is also a bad thing but that
is a different story) is all of their furniture and walls are added on top of
the carpet. We just removed everything except the overhead cabinets
in the back and on both sides of the room. There was not any wiring or
water pipes in that removed furniture. The small number of holes in the
lower walls were filled with pop rivets of the proper color.

However, there is not room to walk around the bed. One person (my 5'2" wife)
crawls over the bed and stands in the rear of the bedroom. I (6'2") stand in
the doorway of the bedroom. And that is the way we make up the bed. She
is too short to hit the overhead cabinets and I stay in the doorway where
I do not hit my head. In the 29' trailer there is approximately 3" at the head
and toe of the bed and 10" at each side. The bed is crossways in the room.

The rear overhead cabinet in our bedroom has the 120VAC circuit breaker
box inside the driver side of the trailer. The other cabinets on either side
of the room were just too nice to remove, so we still have all three overhead
cabinets. We now have access to the underbed area for storage from inside
the trailer, so we do not use the outside access doors any longer.
