[A/S] Re: Airstream Painting
We, too, Had our Airstream painted, using zinc oxide primer under a
cream top coat. It looked like an Argosy, except for the nameplate
above the front window. Many people asked us about it. We had it
done because the previous owners had painted with Aluminum, which
didn't stick. Our boys called it the peeling elephant <LOL>. It was
a '62 Land Yacht with a pull-out bed and two singles on either side
of the dining table. Served us well, though only a single axle and
had no gray water tank.
Painting needs to be done by a professional (IMHO). They have the
tools and expertise to deliver a quality job.
Good luck.
