Traveling alone.

I would like to add that the cell phone is often out of contact with the
rest of the world.  Seems like trouble hits just as you are in a remote
area.  Murphy's law I guess.  I got my Ham ticket a while back and feel much
more comfortable although I have never had to use it for an emergency.  It
is easy to get the Tech level license which qualifies you for 2 meter phone
and I carry a handi-talkie and a suitable antenna.
