You know, now that you mention it... that's why I got my first 
Airstream....an Argosy motorhome.  My friend had a motorhome and I could immediately see all 
the advantages of being able to bring your "hotel room" with you.... the dogs 
being the main consideration.

I started out going to sheed dog trials with my Border Collies.... no, I 
don't trial them but I would set up a booth for Border collie Rescue. I could 
bring the stuff, the dogs and set up right on the farms that were hosting the 
trials.... it was a blast!

I had no idea that I would end up actually living in an Airstream, but 
wouldn't trade this life for any piece of real estate ever again.
