Re: [A/S] Digest Number 1969

We have a member at the Top that carries a Gold Wing in the 8' bed of his
Chevy truck. He has a ramp that slides out the back, he rides the bike on
to the ramp, and then winches it up into the bed. And onother with a Harley
and a ramp. We had another one that pulled a 34 foot AS behind a Ford 350,
with a trailer behind the AS and a Harley and sidecar in the trailer. About
70 feet long on the road. There was also someone at one of the rallys that
had a vintage trailer and carried a '39 or so Chevy car on a ramp on the
back of their pickup. The front of the car was up above the rear corner of
the cab with the rear of it not too far off the road. They had an extended
drawbar to clear the back of the car and reach the trailer.
It would seem that you could put a short slide back on a 1 ton truck and
carry a BMW Mini quite well. And be easy to load and unload. The Mini's
are only about 12 feet long and weigh about 2000 pounds.
