Thanks Hunter,
I didn't know about the steel end caps. I have not made any decisions yet. 
Just trying to gather information in order to make an informed decision. I have 
always leaned toward originality on all of my collector cars and other toys, 
and will probably decide to leave this original as well. You can see some of 
our Microcars at www.bubbledrome.com. Pretty weird little cars!
