Hi Charles - as Hunter mentioned - Argosy's were apparently not all aluminum
on the exterior - and I've read where the aluminum panels that are on the
exterior may be of a lessor grade than the panels used on Airstreams - hence
the need for painting.

You might check out Inland RV's website -  www.inlandrv.com  as there's a
picture there regarding painting Airstreams silver to look as if they were
still natural aluminum - but in fact have been painted to a very high level
of detail - this might work for your Argosy - and now that I think of it -
somewhere I'm sure I've seen pictures of an Argosy painted silver.  You
might check out the Argosy website.

A paint job like that is not something to take lightly or inexpensively
$$$ - to create a custom effect takes an ENORMOUS amount of prep work.  As
with any automotive paint application - the prep work is extremely
important - it's 100% critical to a successful final color coating.

Argosy's are a cream white/beige color usually - and if you've ever worked
with automotive paints - you know that white is one of the best colors to
use when trying to hide imperfections - conversely - black is one of the
toughest colors to use as it will magnify imperfections in the bodywork and
in the paint preparation stages.
