What I remember is it's a long way from Amarillo to civilization when you're 
headed west.

Be sure you have some gas in the tank..... 

Two things to look at in Amarillo.... first, the Cadillac Ranch.  A bunch of 
old Caddys,on the south side of I-40, stuck nose down in the ground.  A rich 
man's folly.

Also, you probably don;t care, not being a horse person but the American 
Quarter Horse Assn headquarters and museum....are in Amarillo. 

In Oklahoma City check out the Cowboy Hall of Fame. It changes the name to 
the Heritage Center.... something like that.
