Welcome to the fun !

A tow vehicule needs to be long in the wheel base, and have enough 
weight and muscle to get over hills and onto the highway safely.

3/4 ton pickups and suburbans are the heavy favorites around here.

Be aware that car salesmen will tell you stories about what their 
vehicle, especially SUV's, will tow. And while you can get it out of the 
parking lot, a dark rainy night with semi's howling past you, and hydro 
planing vehicules ahead of you is no place for a marginal towing set up.

There are hitches that can give a boost too, but not enough to keep the 
trailer from running the show in an emergency.
