Yes,  I lost an Armstrong tire on a hot day at 70.
Rubber came off but the tire never went down... Sure made a mess
of my fender well..
Like to find the guys that thought plastic fender wells were Swell!
I stepped up to a heaver 6 ply truck tire now and keep the air up
around 50 pounds.  The tires run cooler.
