I think Goodyear put a circle around the S on the newer improved 
tires. For a while Goodyear replaced the tires & repaired any damage 
caused by those tires. Some dealers would just do that & some people 
had to call Goodyears 800 phone number to get the remaining tires 
replaced. I don't think Goodyear ever claimed they had a problem 
with these tires, they just took care of the problem as the problem 
happened.
