Hello Burt, Unless there is a break in your existing coax, I don't 
believe there is going to be a noticeable change in reception.  I 
have my doubts of getting the old coax out. You would have to reroute 
it through some other part of the trailer. I would try the old coax 
first. The batwing should have a booster with it I believe. This will 
make all the difference in the world. This is my thoughts on this.
