Hi Arnie,

I don't understand the above statement. If I am not mistaken, my protable 
generator produces 115VAC voltage while every alternator I have ever had in 
an automobile has produced DC voltage. In addition, the alternators boost 
the voltage of the system to 13.8 VDC to charge the battery, so it would 
seem that the alternators also produce electrical power????? Am I really 
mixed up??
