Why is it helpful to know the weights?. I have weighed my entire rig (axle 
by axle) , and have the numbers written down somewhere (I remember I was 
within all my ratings at those weights), but I don't see how the average 
person could use the information.

OTOH, when I weighed it, I did discover there was a small imbalance between 
the 3 axles on the TT, the reason for which became clear when I recently 
discovered my trailer was not completely level when in tow (I am correcting 
that as I reset the tow bar to changeover to the new truck).
