[A/S] What to do? Go for it!

Hi Debbie,

Sandie and I have an older one (actually two) and a newer one.  We use each
for different types of traveling. For example:

1 - We think of our our 35 year old 22' Airstream as our "Summer Cottage."
It's great for visiting campgrounds we went to every Summer with our kids.
After this year's International, we'll spend two weeks at Fish Creek CG in
the Adirondacks. Each campsite has its own private beach, the water spigot
is nearby, there are modern bathrooms and we'll use our Coleman stove and
lanterns. Our canoe and fishing tackle are already packed.

When we want to take cross country trips (i.e. follow the Oregon Trail or
Lewis & Clark Trail from start to finish), we use our vintage A/S and diesel
Suburban.  

Doesn't this mean we have two Airstreams to care for and keep in repair?
Yes, and it's a satisfying hobby for us. Also, it's a refreshing change of
pace from how we travel during the other months of the year. I know
everyone's interests are different and what is a chore for one may not be
for another. 

2 - During the Fall, Winter and Spring months,  we take our 13 year old 32'
Airstream everywhere else on the continent. We've done this for the last 15
years. For us, this too, is a fun and adventuresome style of living.
Granted, there are occasional challenges which require a bit of creativity
and persistence, but that's part of life no matter how we live it.

To our way of thinking, life is short and if we don't follow our dreams and
inclinations when the opportunity presents itself, then when do we do that?

Have you guessed yet? You bet! My vote is with hubby - "Go for it, do it all
and enjoy it."  When it's time to change the hobby or lifestyle, he'll know
it, as will you.  Live as you will wish to have lived when you are in your
90s. Cha! Cha! Cha!
