Tex, I think the typo "saw" should have been "sway".  As for the 
rest of this junk, this newbie ain't gonna put up with it.  I've 
listened and said nothing for a while.  But enough is enough.  Every 
one of you was a newbie at one point or another, and I'll bet that 
back in tose newbie days, most of you newbies bought SOB's.  I'll 
bet a bunch of you tried to tow with just a Reese.  Probably didn't 
want to spring the iron for a weight distribution hitch or any sway 
bars.  But now you all come down on anyone who doesn't own a 
Hensley.  I suppose you all would have something to say because I 
still use a 1964 Lark popup.  I haven't found "the one" Airstream 
yet.  

A lot of what I have read since the accident is just opinions.  No 
facts.  No one has provided the results of the police 
investigation.  Nothing.  All I know is that a person lost a vehicle 
and a trailer.  Both her and the animals are alive.  She had a 
Hensley.  Did it help?  You all can go figure it out.

Yes, I'm a newbie.  I bought my first boat when I was 14, and have 
been towing since I was 16.  It's 38 years later and I've a lot of 
towing miles behind me.  Some heavy, and some not so heavy.  In my 
mind, I tow with a safe set up.  Whether it be Hensley, Reese, 
Drawtite or what ever, I haven't lost a trailer yet.  It may happen 
in the future, who knows?  But when it does, I'll accept the 
resposibility for my error, whether it was because I had my brake 
set wrong, I forgot to hook up the safety chain, maybe I made a 
panic stop, or maybe I just wasn't paying attention when I changed 
the radio station.  

I'm not positive, but unless there was a complete catastophic 
failure of my hitch, I won't blame it.  In the end, we are 
responsible for our own actions.

BTW, I built my own motorcyle when I was 16, and Connecticut lets 
the rider choose to wear a helmet or not.  With that said, this 
newbie will jump off his stump and say "Goodnight, and may God 
Bless".  (Sorry for any typos you can't figure out, but I'm new at 
this)
