No matter - I have a spare battery and a charger.

I originally was sold an LG VX2000 tri-mode phone. I was told that the
VX4400 was not available anymore. At any rate, the VX2000 or VX4400 was
not an option, because the cable is not available *now*. I changed
carriers to get internet connection via Mobile Office; our trip starts
Tuesday, 6/17/03.
We went through a lot of dancing around with Verizen on that cable
kit business - one store worker said they could order the kit and had done
so, another said it was under test for the VX2000, the Verizon national
rep said his computer claimed they had 4,000 kits on hand, but none were on
the shelf. Not an encouraging picture. Anyhow, I have the Motorola and
the kit, and it seems to work well, and I'm taking it to International and
on our caravan.
