 FWIW: We travel about 250-350 miles per day, depending on if we're trying
to "get somewhere" or just travelling. We've found that our average speed on
the Interstates will figure out to 50 MPH overall. If we're not on a
schedule, 200 MPD is much more comfortable.

I read similar numbers from others on this forum before we did any serious
travelling and thought that maybe they were wimps, that sounded like not
many miles. Found out that their numbers were quite reasonable.

If you insist on pushing things, you'll regret it. It's MUCH less stressful
at 60-62 MPH on the Interstate than it is at 68-70. And, there's much more
time to keep out of trouble WHEN (not IF) it occurs. Things like the stopped
traffic just over that rise, the deer crossing the highway, etc.
