well, maybe not
1.  usually, you just remove the face plate and all the stuff off the end of teh
axle.  Then you buy the stuff to make it an electric brake system.
2.  however, yours may not have that ability.
3.  Your axle "cords" may be so bad that you might want to consider putting in a
new axle to bring it back to proper specs.  All of this was beaten to death
about the first of teh year.  check the list archives.

I did all of this on a Tradewind that JGreene is now using.  ie, I replaced
everything except teh spindles on the swing arms.  never thought about replacing
the axle itself.  did the brake rotors, shoes, electrics, etc and then replaced
the shock absorbers.  then I ran out of drive and Jim rescued it.  I can hardly
wait to see what he has done with it.

it is an ideal trailer for shooting and hunting trips. for one or two people.
yours would be perfect for a single person for a weekend.
