I would start replacing lines (and fittings including the clear
plastic strainer). The lines harden with age and it is sometimes
impossible to get 
them to reseal. There could be a small crack/hole from the tubing
being brittle and 
cracking when moved.  It isn't a very big or the pump would loose
prime. 
New hose is cheap and it is easier to replace than dealing with the
brittle hrd stuff.

The formula for power is P=IE, power (watts) = current x voltage. A
little over 12 volts will mean nearly 50 amps used, the batteries
won't last long unless
they are huge. And the inverter is not 100% efficient, it could use 8
or 10 amps
itself depending on how good it is. Resistive loads are very hard on
batteries because 
of the large current draw. If you are boondocking a stovetop coffe
pot will help you
extend your battery life considerably.
