Richard,
Radials have more flex in the side wall and will sway a small amount more 
than Bias Ply tires.  To counteract this phenomenon I used load range D 
tires instead of range C.  The D range tires have a stiffer side wall along 
with larger capacity.

Bias Ply tires get flat spots form non use not radials in my experience, in 
fact with bias tires and cold weather I've had flat spots after one night.
