I have a front 2" receiver on my Suburban which I use for spotting the
trailer.  why not get one of thse platforms that are used for carrying
extra cargo and which plug into the receiver?
should be no problem for 150# wt, just turn your truck around and hook
the genset up to your trailer while boondocking.  not sure what the wt
capacity of that front receiver is but 150lb should be no problem.

seems simple to me.  is smail enough that it will not block any air to
your engine.
