Jack, golf cart batteries are bigger and heavier than regular RV/marine
batteries. They are also 6 volt batteries -- not the 12 V needed by your
Airstream. Therefore, you need two golf cart batteries wired in series to
get 12 volts. You also get twice the output of the Ultimas and the golf cart
batteries last a long time (often 5-6 years or more) with a good three stage
charger. Also, they are relatively inexpensive.
