Sounds a bit fishy to me. Did he give you a reason why the price went up?
With your price ceiling, you are obviously going to be getting a vintage
unit. Not sure why you're limiting your self to under 20'. Is it your towing
capacity? As you know, the smaller trailers are priced higher than the
larger units. I own two large vintage trailers and the extra space is
wonderful. The 50's models are lighter and narrower for a given length than
the 60's models and the same holds true for the 70's, 80's & 90's models.
Large 60's or 70's trailers are generally within your price range however as
with anything this old, a certain amount of repairs are inevitable.
