Tony, sorry to hear of your unfortunate experience, but happy to hear you and Sandy are OK except for the few scratches, cuts and bruises. I wouldn't expect to have found bubbles in a "forged" hook. My guess is that the hooks were cast steel and the bubbles were gas inclusions. Sam WBCCI 12557
