I think I have the same stove but can't check it is 40 miles away in 
storage.
The oven is similar to a standing pilot on a gas furnace, but a bit 
different.   
There is a thermocouple to shut off the gas if the flame goes out, am 
I correct ?
If the main burner won't light perhaps it is a bad thermocople, also 
the thermocouple has to be in the pilot light flame.
Thermocouples are cheap and easy to change.   It's worth a try.   
Thermocouples can also be tested, but first you need to know how many 
milivolts it is suppose to produce.   
I know I have measured the mv on my fridge, I my case it wasn't the 
thermocouple but a "board" that had to be replace.   An oven doesn't 
have a circuit board.  I believe the fridge thermocople was suppose 
to be 25 to 30 mv.

Also sometimes I have to cause a draft in the oven so that the main 
burner gas reaches the pilot flame when I turn on the main flame. 
I also have to slowly close the oven door, if I close it fast the 
draft can extinguish the main burner flame.   
On a windy day the wind can blow out the main flame.   I am sure this 
is not your problem, just something to be aware of.
