This is a very interesting idea. I do have access to Win2000 Advanced
Server, but I have also recently started playing with linux as well. We have
a small network here at home and I could easily add another little computer
to share internet access to a phone line, I wonder if Windows 2000
Professional might be able to do it? It does support dial up network
connections as well. It may not be as secure, BUT the ony way someone would
find the phone number is  1. If you tell them, or 2. If they use a war
dialer to search for modem connections (which is illegal of course). We have
an External modem here which we can just push the power button on it off
when we dont want to have it accessable making it pure random luck to be
able to even find it.
