[A/S] need to hear the voice of someone's experience

I'm new to the list and to owning an a/s.  Recently purchased a '68 
Sovereign.  I knew it needed TLC but then came the discovery of aluminum 
wiring for the 110.  I'm sure this is not the first time this has come 
up on the list but I would like to correspond with anyone who has 
replaced or attempted to replace the wiring without gutting the interior.

PS:  Did spend a winter in a 24' a/s in Cheyenne, WY in 1973.  Longest 
winter on record for me.  As W C Fields put it "I spent a year in 
Philadelphia one weekend."
