Hunter, I don't think you want Teflon tape on the gas pig tails. I have new
OPD valves and they have to be tightened hand tight to seat properly. I'd
suggest taking off the tape. The tape may be interfering with the seal.
Cleaning any residue off the male connector and the female tank threads and
reseating the green knobs in the tank valve may stop the leak. I hope. If
the regulator was working before changing the pig tails, new hoses probably
didn't alter the regulator. Find the leak with a soapy water solution and
you will know where the problem is. Let us know what you find.
