[A/S] Propane Troubles

Okay Gang,

I got my old 30# tanks new OPD valves and filled for the price of new tanks 
not filled... thanks for the advice.

I also got new tubes to connect from the regulator to the new valves..... the 
kind you can turn by hand.

Great... I set the new tanks in place and hooked up the new tubes. When I 
turn the gas on one side I can hear a definite leak psssssssss and can smell 
the leaking gas.  I switched tubes thinking that might be it and the same 
thing on the one side.

The pssssss is at the regulator connection, not at the top of the tank.

The connection is tight and I did even wrap the thing with teflon 
tape........ so, does this mean the regulator itself is leaking?  One side is 
fine......

My regulator is 6 years old.... too soon to go bad?
