Re: [A/S] Blinds and curtains: Keep open or closed?
Doug, we bought a roll of insulating material at Lowes for window covers. It
is a heavy duty bubble wrap with an aluminum facing on both sides. Total
thickness is about 1/8 inch. We cut this to fit all the windows and use it
when we are in storage. Our Safari has fixed upper windows and they remain
covered with the insulating material all the time. The lower windows (about
six inches high) are uncovered in the day and covered at night. This
material keeps the sun off the curtains and helps insulate the windows.
During storage, we leave the three roof vents open. They are covered with
the white plastic MaxxAir roof vent covers, so we get light but don't get any
rain through the vents.
