Hi Ed

I noticed a Safari in the yard that we installed cams on so I took a 
look at how it was done.  We raised the base plate for the lp tanks 
and put some spacers below it.  

Drilling the base plate won't work because you will need to be able 
to slide the brackets into their exact locations when you have the 
unit connected and leveled properly with the full tension on the 
torsion bars.  If you put the U bolts on barely snug they will 
actually snap into place with a tap from a hammer.

For them to operate properly you have to set them with the 
combination in a perfectly straight line.
