Peter,

Yep. I cleaned all the walls down with a PineSol like cleaner. I masked
off anything I didn't want painted. Then I bought 2 gallons of Kilz, and

with a cheap $30 spray gun attached to my pancake compressor, sprayed
everything. I did one room at a time. Once it was coated, I then did the

same coverage of the areas with a good semi gloss white latex. It came
out really pretty good. It was quite a bit of work but worth it. I
really couldn't live with the yellowy looking walls, and I didn't want
the dark cabinets. I'm not in to restoring it to original condition, but

rather modernizing it for my use and tastes.

Oh, I also did the insides of all the cabinets and closets. What a
difference!
