[A/S] Gray tanks?

I feel real dumb in asking.  In the '72 and older aistreams how do 
folks deal with the lack of gray water tanks?  Does a person replumb 
into the black tank, pull the belly pan and add a tank, if so where?  
I have thus far been looking at later model airstreams mainly because 
of the gray tank issue.

Some friends of mine found a nice '72 and the gray tank issue is the 
only negative I can think of.  Usange of the desired unit would be 
mostly dry camping or boondocking.
