Hi Jim,
If you REALLY like the truck, have a local shop change the gear ratio 
in your existing 3rd member. Had it done to a 1972 F-250 two years 
ago... the cost was $400 something. It was done by a 4x4 shop that 
specialized in "trick rock-crawling-go-anywhere" type trucks, but 
they were the "best" experienced for gear changing and most the most 
economical.
