Re: [A/S] How old is old ?

Your older Airstream is likely insured on an Actual Cash Value basis.
That is, it's current average cost to buy. Most insurers will do a
market survey by a licensed or accredited appraiser and get a good
average price for a trailer of your vintage with the improvements you've
made. Just to take the "book value" is gobbledy gook and reflects a lack
of thoroughness. IMHO.
Suggest you get on the web and find other simular units for sale and
put those under the nose of the adjuster and respectfully suggest that
you think he needs to do further research to come up with a realistic
value for your A/S
Most adjusters want to get on to the next file and will take the quick
way out , if you'll buy that. If, however, you do some "proving" of your
claim, it makes them do the work they should.
