The radio (if it is a Sony) requires the use of a "tool" that came with the
owner's manual.  This tool goes into a slot on each side of the radio to
release the "locks".  Since you only have one tool, you must get one side
loose, then the other.  Afterwards, it slides right out.

WORD OF CAUTION
There are MANY wires behind the radio.  Exercise caution when removing since
they are held together with wire nuts only.
