[A/S] THE DAY arrived

Hi All,

We picked up our new 30' Classic on Monday afternoon.
It is beyond our expectations. Absolutely beautiful! I'll get
back to that in a minute, but first -

BUY A HENSLEY HITCH!!!

I had never towed anything in my life. The weather, when I
pulled out of the dealership, was 50mph gusts with 20-30mph
sustained winds and intermittant blizzard like snow showers.
We had to go north on I-95 towards Washington DC. There
were tractor trailors going 70-85mph, obviously passing me.
We also had to travel Rt 123, which is a narrow twisting two
lane.

I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW I WAS TOWING A TRAILER!

I used the Teconsha "Prodigy" brake system. There is no
setup and they worked perfectly. I highly recommend this
combination.

The 70 mile trip to within 100yds of the house took about an
hour and 45 minutes. The last 100yds also took an hour and
45 minutes. I had to back around two 90 degree turns, one of
which was bordered by fences on both sides. I have to give credit
to Gail. She was outside in that weather the entire time, very
patiently explaining to me that when she said "left" she meant my
other "left". Anyway, we finally got it parked (without a fight), but
it was dark and we were tired. I had installed the hitch myself at
the dealership. It was a little time consuming but really not that
difficult.

This was Monday night. We spent the evening in it checking things
out and marveling. Everything worked. We found one tear in a
curtain, but that was all. Jackson Center said they would immediately
drop ship it directly to me. We slept in it last night for the first time.
I'm wondering if we will ever use our house bedroom again!

Oops - got to go - boss calling - Mark
