don't add weight with a second layer of flooring use felt roofing paper
as a shim to give you the added thickness you need to match your original 
floor to the new (don't you love how they took 1/32" out of the plywood and 
still charge you the full price). Or if you have a better idea for a shim 
please use it. Get creative and save a buck or two!!!!  Steve O
