Solar folks -

It's clear that solar has done very well for a number of Airstream 
owners, and I'd love to duplicate your experience. I live near Portland, 
Oregon. My largest electrical requirements will be on winter steelhead 
fishing trips, often on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington - in a rain 
forest receiving 100+ inches of rain a year. Winter steelhead fishing 
season corresponds exactly with the rainy season and makes sunlight a 
limited commodity. For the past 10 years, a group of friends has 
tent-camped for the annual "Spring Fishing and Near-Drowning 
Experience." This year, I have the A/S and plan to be very comfortable.

Anybody out there with solar experience in the Pacific NW, especially on 
Fall, Winter, and Spring trips? I'd love to go solar, but suspect that a 
generator would be a necessity for a 3 or 4 day trip.
