Greg,
I find this interesting since I normally travel with
the fridge turned on.  If I stop for any length of
time ( >15 minutes) I will turn off the unit and
restart it once I get back on the road.  If I read you
correctly, I would be better to leave it on?  What's
the threshold then?  I assume that once the heat
source is removed, the movement in the system stops
fairly quickly.  I would contend that at some point
you are better to turn off the unit that leave it on.

I ran my refrigerator in my Hi-Lo using this technique
for 14 years before it developed a leak in the system.

Tell me more.
