In the 27 years I've been working on RV's, the majority of refer failures
I've seen have been caused by blockages, these are caused by refers being
SHUT DOWN when they're off level. The chromate crystals that neutralize the
water vapor inside the coils lay in the bends of  tubing and attach
themselves to the sides or each other and cause the blockages. As long as
the refer is running material is flowing thru the unit.

You would reach a point of operation I'm sure that flow would be restricted,
but, that point is way past the comfort level I referred to.
