Our weather has been great, which allowed me to rechauk the trailer and 
hopefully stop the leaks. The rain did show another spot that turned to a 
sponge when wet. I was a little nervous about patching the bad spots but they 
have been the easiest part of it so far. My floor is 1/2 thick, and the front 
circular area has a u channel that sits on top of the plywood. I cut so that 
my patch is sitting on the main frame and two of the outriggers. I don't want 
to remove the inside skin for this small hidden area and will fasten small L 
brackets to the side wall channel and the floor.
The second area was at the other end of the street side double windows at the 
start of a sheet of plywood. Again I cut along the main frame and made a 
patch resting on two channels approx. 12." 
This patch on the side is somewhat different in that the straight trailer 
wall has the plywood edge going into a u channel and another channel facing 
up for the sides. Is this something new in the 70's trailers? I didn't open 
wall so I don't know if there are two u channels or one special channel, it 
looks like one from what I can see. applied penetrating epoxy this morning 
and will install floor patches later and laminate over.
I cut a slot across the front 6" wide between the main frame as this area was 
not supported well. I installed 1x6 cedar decking planks (actual 1" thick) 
that rested on the triangular channels for the hitch and brought the height 
back to main frame height. I then reinforced the cedar supports with light 
angle iron to stiffen it.
