Thanks everyone for the information. I am totally blown away with the price
of the new lock.  That's highway robbery.  Before I put out that kind of $$,
I think the problem may be the *key* that was given to us with the trailer.
I even wonder if it is the right key.  It sort of moves around like it's
stripped, but the lock mechanism works fine from inside. If I have the lock
#, can I get another key from Airstream to test it?
