Yes, Jack - that's true.

If you have solar panels, keeping the refrigerator compartment a little
cooler is quite simple. A passive method is to place a muffin fan up in the
compartment (as high as your arms will reach) and connect it to the
auxillary outlet on your solar guard gauge.

Of course, you could always go high tech and install an on/off switch next
to the gauge. If you have overkill on solar potential, you could always
install a monitor light showing whether the switch is on or off.
