[A/S] Travel planners I need you!!!

Hello all you vagabons,

Barbara from Ohio here, again.  I'm getting all my questions in 
tonight!

My husband and I are planning a big 6 weeks trip after the holidays 
and will be traveling from Ohio to Death Valley. We have to make a 
stop in Fredericksburg TX [yes I did see the pics on Patterson's 
site, looks like a nice campground there]We would like to go to "Big 
Bend" Park on the Rio Grande as well. I also read the recent posts 
about Death Valley. We want to head south as soon as possible so we 
can flush out our antifreeze and use our water.  We will have to re-
winterize when we come back home, but will stay as far south as 
possible on the trip. We are having the Jackson Center crew install 
an a/c for us as our Christmas present to each other, we will need it 
where we are going....

I know Pearl in SoCal has been a wonderful tour guide with her 
inticing posts, so I hope she and the rest of you can guide us onward.
We would love to "boondock" too. She mentioned the Corps of Engineers 
sites and they sound wonderful.I know it is a big order, but just 
tell us of the places you liked the best. We'll be very grateful. 
This will be our second trip in our "Silver Sweetie"
